W Design Associates is an independent consulting engineering and architectural firm owned entirely by its officers, associates and employees.

Established in 1965, the firm is diversified and offers in-house services in multiple disciplines.  While we offer services in all the typical architectural and engineering fields, WDA specializes in serving the agricultural industry.  We are licensed to practice in most states throughout the central and southern United States, having designed fertilizer and ag chemical facilities from North Dakota to Alabama and Washington to Florida.  These have included everything from small retail facilities to large wholesale terminals.  WDA also has extensive experience in grain storage and handling, from simple bin foundation design up to designing unit train shipping facilities.

Our services available include every phase required to bring a project from concept through design, contract documents, construction management and on to start-up and operation.

Public works projects such as bridges, highways, airports, streets, water and sewage systems, etc., which are currently termed “Infrastructure” have also comprised a major portion of this firm’s volume of work since 1965.  These projects have ranged from a one block street paving project to the design of a 6.5 MGD water treatment plant.

The design of buildings and their environment has been a strength of the firm since 1968.  Architectural design with emphasis on economy, function and aesthetics is complemented by in-house structural, mechanical and electrical engineering.  This team maintains control over the total building design and costs, thus providing better building performance and client satisfaction.
